After looking after wellbeing and learning and support in schools for the last 15 years, my journey led me to support mental health and wellness challenges on a daily basis. I lead a variety of anxiety and anger management small groups over the last few years. Which started off with 2 or 3 anxiety groups per term pre-pandemic, grew to 5-6 anxiety groups post pandemic, which is in line with data provided by Breathless with the more than 25% increase in anxiety post-pandemic.
With numerous strategies ranging from mindfulness, meditation, journaling and gratitude practises, I have realised that the BREATH is one of the most powerful tools to create long term changes for our children. Mouth breathing can seriously affect a child’s development and overall health.
We cannot deny the connection between breathing issues and mental health struggles. This can result in challenges like learning difficulties, and behavioural disorders.

At Radiant Health & Wellness, we’re all about making breathwork a blast! We believe that kids are our future, and it’s up to us grown-ups to help them learn how to deal with their big feelings. As a super proud Breathe Live Learn ambassador, we mix their fantastic resources with some playful sound exploration to show kids how to use breathwork to handle their emotions like total champs. The research has our backs too—teaching kids and young people how to regulate their emotions early can seriously cut down their chances of mental health struggles later in life. By giving them these tools now, we’re setting them up to be resilient superstars for life!
We love creating spaces where kids feel safe, have fun, and grow. That’s why we team up with schools to create tailor-made programs that fit their exact vibe. And we don’t just stop at the students—we also train parents, giving them the skills they need to support kids’ emotional well-being. And guess what? The science is in—kids who practice mindfulness and breathwork are more focused, less anxious, and even crush it academically. It’s a win-win for schools!
